how odd that the Atlantic/Sony versions of Apartment Life come up for
discussion, just hours after I re-read Stewart Mason's interview with Dominique D in
an old issue of Amplifier I came across.
I am sure SM will chime in, but basically some of the songs on the CD were
remixed for the Sony version (cover with Dom sitting in an apartment kitchen)
per the label. Pretty much the band hated the remixes, but I have a co-worker
and Ivy fan who prefers this version. I am used to the Atlantic copy but own
both as a completeist.
New IVY album coming out in the next few months! cool!
Not to turn this into a twee-pop list, but anyone have any thoughts on
Astaire? They have a CD available through Unfiltered Music (Andy Chase).
