Pretty cool news, courtesy of the Baltimore Business Journal...

Fans of the former radio station 99.1 WHFS-FM can turn to the Web for their alternative rock fix. Infinity Broadcasting, parent company of the Washington, D.C., station, said Monday it has partnered with America Online to launch the alternative radio station at WHFS.com. Programming will include new music, archive programming from WHFS and performances from past WHFS music festivals. Infinity debuted the 24-hour, seven day a week audio stream because the alternative rock station had a loyal fan base. On Jan. 12, Infinity switched the format of 99.1 from alternative rock to a Spanish-language station, "El Zol." Pending regulatory approval, the station will change its call letters to WZLL-FM. WHFS hosts and music can also be heard on Baltimore talk radio station Live 105.7 weeknights beginning at 7 p.m. and all day Saturday and Sunday.

BTW - I thought the FOW / Dr Pepper commercial was very funny, and it's fun to crank it up whenever it comes on!

And speaking of using music in commercial ways (and this may have already been discussed here), but was anyone else disappointed to see Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and not hear Mr. Blue Sky anywhere in it, although it dominated the trailer? Unless I totally missed it...

Be seeing you,
Bill
