Subject iPods and other MP3 players

Can anyone comment on the Creative Labs Zen Touch player or the Nomad Jukebox Zen series?
 
I realize that the iPod is probably the best player, but I'm considering this for a number of reasons such as price and avoiding the hassle of the proprietary iTunes format.
