the latest cd by Dungen. My god, I can't get enough of this record. An
amazing time warp back to 1970 heavy psych acid folk freakout. With better
execution of ideas than many of the bands from that era that I've heard
(not that I'm a psych-proto prog expert or anything). SImply amazing. The
instument sounds, the drum work, all of it. Of course, the Swedish lyrics
only add to the lysergic vibe. I have more or less basically given up on
rock records lately because so many current releases are mind bogglingly ho
hum. But Dungen has got it going on. And here I thought I'd be listening
to ambient electronica and Soul Jazz releases from here on out.
