They never reached me, Ken...and everything I have ever read or heard 
Michael Stipe say makes my skin crawl.
I'm happy for their success...there's room for everything in the world of 
music...but I can fire off an Uzi at my record collection and not hit an 
R.E.M recording. I get a kick out of peter Buck, though. The man knows his 
way around a 12-string...
