I wouldn't say that The Futureheads were inspired by
Franz Ferdinand or Dogs Die In Hot Cars, though they
share inspirations from the same era as those bands. 
I read an interview with the 'heads, and they
acknowledge that use late '70s post-punk as a
touchstone, and, of course, they are produced by Gang
Of Four's Andy Gill.
