McCartney has so many songs, that he'd have to do a 'just solo stuff'
tour to fit in a good sampling of his solo work.
I wish he would do this, or at least have, "solo" nights on his tour.
The thing to remember about McCartney is that he views himself as an
"entertainer" and not so much as just a rock guy. In the Barry Miles
book he talks about how he and John were entering "showbiz". How there
was no "rock" until later. IMO, this explains some schmaltzy tunes,
superbowl appearences, "broad street", not doing rare songs off poor
selling (for him!) albums at big stadium shows designed for the entire
family, etc.
Just a thought.
