That's been my big hope for a long time, that he would reconcile
himself with his post Beatles career and do those songs live. I
thought when Wingspan came out it might happen but sadly no and the
rumoured boxset never happened either. I've even heard him in
interviews admitting that he's a bit embaressed by a lot of his 70's
stuff which is just ridiculous. He seems to think that people only
want to hear the Beatles songs but to be honest I'd be more likely to
check him out if he promised to play no Beatles songs and just did the
Wings and solo stuff. That would be an immense gig.

A few years ago, I got fed up with all the abuse his solo career got
and decided to buy all his post Beatles work on CD to hear for myself
and was pleasantly surprised how good it was. Patchy in places, sure,
but whose career isn't that's been going so long. A damn sight more
consistently good than the Stones for example and he's remained fairly
prolific throughout. I was able to cull a really good 4CD set that
covered his studio stuff 1970-2000 and it definitely gives lie to the
fact that he's produced nothing but rubbish.

The worst record for me is Wings At The Speed Of Sound when he decided
to be more democratic and let the other members write, then again it
does have Silly Love Songs on it (and Let Em In but I've never cared
for that).
