Graham Parker.
My first pick would have been Andy Partridge, but, after giving the idea some thought, I felt Parker would be a brasher, more cynical counterpoint to Paul's mellow tendencies. Plus, I think Partridge has done a fair amount of distancing himself and XTC from anything to do with the Beatles camp. Parker, on the other hand, contributed to that 'Lost Songs' comp a while back.
It'll never happen. But what if it did?
