unbelievable.
Actually, it really isn't. Ratings have been down and, seeing a niche ready to
be served, they jumped in with both feet. Sure, it's purely a business
decision, but that's why they call it the radio "business." It hasn't been
about the music at WHFS, or nearly any other terrestrial radio station, for a
very long time.
DC 101 stands to benefit big time from WHFS's format change; they'll probably
pick up a good percentage of WHFS's listenership. So in a odd sort of way,
it's a win-win situation for the stations. Not so much for the audience,
however, unless they switch to satellite and Internet listening.
