TO MATT GEORGE:
The Wildhearts "Must be Destroyed" was my favorite record of 2004.
And no....I wasn't asleep when The Darkness came around...but I don't
consider them a "hair metal" band. I love their record.

TO WILL, SHAWN C. AND ALL:
OK...it's clear I don't care much for Franz Ferdinand. End of story. All my initial post was trying
to point out was how the album stood out like a sore thumb style-wise to the rest of the
stuff in the Top 10. That's not necessarily a negative or positive statement...just an observation.
It just made me wonder how *definitive* a year-end list really is when a band like FF gets loads of
publicity and ultimately affords more people the opportunity to hear their record. But yes...
if you like it...you like it, despite the hype.

TO BILL H:
I'm with you on "Smile" and "Modest Mouse" too. Interesting what makes critics drool...
I just don't get it.... Maybe Stewart does.
