They were a beat band from New Zealand whose 1965 tune, "She's A Mod" was #1
in Australia, and more than likely #1 in New Zealand as well (my NZ chart
book starts in 1966).  Their stuff was pretty good, though not at the level
of most of the best beat bands.

A Canadian band who did pretty decent psychedelic pop.  They had two albums
on Verve in the States, Magic People and Ellis Island, and featured among
their members future Lighthouse main-man Skip Prokop.  I believe Universal
did a Paupers comp a couple of years ago, and I was pretty damn sure I owned
it but can't find it anywhere in my collection.  :-(
