Not that I need any help standing up to Stewart Mason, but I can't believe I'm the only person on the list who feels this way about bands like Franz Ferdinand....or, maybe I am. And for the record, I'm not telling you what to like, Stewart. You can sit in your house and listen to Orange Juice records all day long for all
I care. My original post was just to point out the notable style gap between FF and the rest of the bands in the Top 10 so far. My opinion is not gospel by any means, but it makes for an interesting thread...and is worthy of trying to figure out.

And this is not a diss to people who genuinely like the record. There are lots of people who do, despite the vast amount of press they get. I just feel a little put-off by trying to figure out what the "Best of 2004" is when the pool is tainted with over-saturated band like Franz Ferdinand.
