I picked up cd's by the these 2 groups and they have been very heavy
rotation. I haven't heard any buzz about them in audities land but I
think many of you would really like these cd's.
I saw Crazy Moon Plan at an IPO presents show and liked them enough to buy
the cd (also called Crazy Moon Plan) , plus it was only $5. Crazy Moon Plan
easily became one of my favorite cd's! It will rank high on my 2004 list.
They reminded alot of the Lolas. Pretty much straight power pop with very
catchy tunes. This was right up my alley. www.crazymoonplan.com has
mp3's. Looks like the cd's are available from CD Baby
JR and the Randogs, is Jesse Ruggles from Phamous Phaces band. They
travelled from Oregon and did a couple of shows in LA. The tunes vary from
power pop to sort of rootsy rock with some very catchy tunes. On the EP,
All the Danger, the title track, is cover a of really cool pop tune taken
from a video of a band that opened for the Beatles on their second trip to
Austrailia. The name of the band of was not mentioned in the credits. On
the cd, the credit is given to "Unknown" I love the cover of the cd, very
50's. Kids dressed in futuristic space suits.
www.riastudios.net/jr-randogs.html has clips and you cd's available.
Happy New Year to all!
Cathy
