Not to create a "vs" strand here on audities, but I did get a Creative Zen Touch for Christmas (not to be confused with it's earlier incarnation the Creative Zen)... and for my money I love it for so many reasons... 20 gigs of HD space (I've inserted over 1,700 songs mp3's and wma's and I've still got more than 12 gig to go)... The scrolling touch pad on the front of the player takes a tad to get used to but once you do it's as effective as the IPod's wheel... The sound quality is incredible (you can lose the earbuds that come with the player... they don't do it justice... I'm using a Sony $30 pair I picked up at Best Buy)... The ease of converting CD's to wma's using Windows Media Player which, in turn, transfers all the album, artist & title info to the saved file... the saved file then transferred in a matter of seconds via the supplied USB cable... The clincher is Creative's 24 hour battery life versus IPod's 12 (?)... I can't believe that in a few days I'll be carrying around the bulk of my CD collection with me wherever I go... Oh yea... a breeze to play the songs via the car radio if you have CD/cassette combo, via a cassette adapater...
Cheers,
Miguel
PS Prayers go out to the unfortunate victims of the Tsunami... Altho' it can't compare, I went thru Hurricane Andrew in '92 and it obliterated us right off the map... can't even begin to imagine the horror of this disaster...
