Is it really going to make a difference who owns Elvis' name and
likeness? Has Lisa Marie set the bar so high in preserving the
integrity of her father's legacy that someone once affiliated with
Clear Channel will now be free to bastardize it for a quick buck or
(lots) more? I doubt it.
Bottom line is the market place is more likely to drive the
merchandising than the license owner. If the public demands shlock,
then the public shall certainly receive it.
