Thanks to fellow listmember and friend Bryan Thomas who played a couple cuts
from this one evening, I now have heard and own the most mindblowing cd of
the year IMO. I'm using it as a narcotic at the moment...

The artist is a Swedish Wunderkind--Gustav Ejstes under the name "Dungen"
who plays most of the instruments and writes all the material on this
stunning cd. The highly creative production and stunning musicianship make
this a psych/pop/rock fan's dream. Contemporary and classic at the same
time. Artful use of sound, distortion, feedback, delay. Monstrous
drumming, head spinning guitar work, lovely keyboards, flutes and Mellotron.
Melodic and atonal all at the same time. There's something in the water is
Sweden I tell you.

Here's a couple reviews that describe the music pretty well:

I got my copy from Amazon, although I also had impatiently ordered another
from Forced Exposure when Amazon told me it was backordered and then sent it
a couple days later. If you like latter period Move, Zeppelin, Cream,
Traffic...I urge you to check this out! This is heavy duty rock/psych and
my guess is that many on this list, especially musicians will dig this....

One caveat: The album is sung in Swedish....but I don't think it matters
with these great melodies.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to all....

Brian

n.p. what else...

p.s. the second copy is already taken...
