....I met Dimebag when they were playing here in Salem. The band came into the club I was playing. He came up to me and praised my guitar playing, and left me Will Call tix at the venue, and got me backstage the next night. He was a real cool guy, loved playing guitar, and his fave bands of all time were Cheap Trick and the Ramones. We talked about them for hours.
He really knew the pop scene WAY better than alot of [typical] popsters did.
It just infuriates me when people take shots at someone without knowing what they're
talking aBOOT.(OK, that was a Canadian slur..,haha). I didn't go out and buy Darrel's cd's.
Wasn't my thang, but I respect him as a guitarist and a passing friend.
