Turning attention back to the music, baby, I've just received the debut CD
from The American Professionals. The CD's called Faking It, and it's simply
tremendous, popping and rocking hard and soft with sugary sweet harmonies and
great songs. Chuck Lindo essentially is the band; he plays everything but
drums, which are helmed by Gregg Anderson. The Pure Pop pick to click is the
wondrous "Outstanding Day," which features the, well, outstanding bridge of
the year, with incredibly alive harmonies. You can hear it this Saturday on my
Pure Pop radio show (link below).

Records like this always make my day, but in the American Professionals' case,
it's making my month. Don't miss this one, folks. It's simply outstanding, a
best of 2004 without question.
