I don't know if there would have been an Elvis Costello if there hadn't been
Graham Parker. Literally. Three of Parker's first four albums are all-timers
and he's put out stellar albums throughout the early '80s and into the early
'90s. I'm still a fan of his stuff, but I can see that he's no longer doing
stuff with mass appeal. Still, his is a glaring omission.
And I don't claim to pay a lot of attention about the HoF, but no Squeeze,
either? That's a travesty.
