I saw the Pretenders in Central Park in 1980. Can't say I remember too many other details about that year.
What I'm saying is that the buzz about that band was incredible, and they delivered a rocking show that I'll never forget. And while more deserving bands have been left out, I will not complain that The Pretenders will be inducted. "Kid" is one of my all time favorites.
Stewart wrote "We might as well all sit around and complain about what's on the walls
at our local Hard Rock Cafe, because that's roughly as important."
Fans of the inductees will disagree. For example, Jackson Browne was so pleased for his fans that he arranged for a concert with special guests the night after his induction.
