I agree with you Michael.   Did you happen see the Bob Dylan interview on "60 Minutes" last week?

Ed Bradley asked Dylan about "Like A Rolling Stone" being ranked #1 in Rolling Stone magazine's "Top 500 Songs".   Dylan dismissed it and Bradley pressed, suggesting that this was something great.

Dylan's response?  "This week".    I thought that was pretty much dead-on.
