...Dunno, call me different but I actually enjoy hearing other bands' takes on Beatle tunes be they "the hits" or b-sides or "the songs they wrote but never recorded"... As a musician I enjoy hearing the techniques used to re-create as faithfully as possible the songs as a music lover I just think it's a blast to hear someone else's take on what has already been done...

Then again, I love those oldies compilations where you read in fine print "Some songs are new recordings that include one of more members of the original group"... I think it's great to hear how they sound like nowadays and with the modern recording techniques... granted some of these sound lame but overall they're fun to listen to...

So in conclusion I welcome groups like Sgt. Peppers Band, The Fab Four, 1964 & The Beatmas to remind us once again, in their flattering imitation, that The Beatles' music can be good and fun "all over again" if the band doesn't stray from the original intent...

Cheers,

Miguel
