Will:
Sad indeed. Commercial radio has evolved over the years to become
a finely tuned machine that strives to bring in top advertising dollars. The
indsutry has spent millions on consultants, advsiors and experts who tell
us that people (on average) lsiten to radio in 15 minute stretches
and will change the channel if they don't instantly recognize a song or
find something "familiar". Commerical radio's sole purpose (like any for
profit company) is to bring in money from advertisers...not to bring variety
or diversity in music or programming.
Sadly, if you want diversity and variety...your choices are either
college radio or satellite. I vote college radio...since you don;t have to
subscribe to it.
