I have albums by The Beatnix, Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's
> Band that each do this same trick. Anyone know of any others?

...Ian & The Zodiacs released a note-by-note Beatles' tribute album years
ago which is pretty interesting... But the 2 groups that, IMHO, nail The
Beatles' sound and John's soulful and sometimes gritty voice to a T are The
Fab Four and "1964"... 1964 had recent concerts at Carnegie Hall and are
regulars on the Vegas strip... ...they've got a 2-CD Live set which is a
dream imaginary live Beatles' concert full of raw energy and also another
interesting project titled "Nine Hours in November"... in "9 Hours" they
went into the studio and, just like the Please, Please Me" album, they
recorded for 9 straight hours live-in-the-studio... I like this album
because its material is basically B-sides and the "minor hits" of the
band... "The Fab Four" has a great 2 CD Christmas album which is not to be
missed (I mentioned this one a few days ago)... Hope this helps...

Cheers,

Miguel
