Oh. see I think you pretty much need them all.

All the original Pye albums are generally great. Some don't much care for the first two, but I think those folks are short sighted. Don't buy the US Castle
releases, the UK ones all have loads of extra tracks. Those are usually singles and ep tracks, but there are a fair share of unreleased or mono mixes. The newest
Village Green is pretty swank and has the only official release of some of the Great Lost Tracks.

Muswell Hillbillies is a must, and maybe Preservation. After that until Give The People and Low Budget is another matter. I like School Boys In Disgrace, but I'm
not so wild about Soap Opera. To The Bone, which is rerecordings of classic tunes is something you'll want too... maybe. It really depends on how much you like
'em.

I think if you start with Kontoversy, and move up through to Lola and then Muswell , you can't go wrong. Percy is inbetween and not essential.

They are a band, like the Beatles, who went from doing a lot of covers to strong original material pretty quickly. There were a few choice covers up through
Kontroversy. Milk Cow Blues was a big part of the Chocolate Watchbands set, as was I'm Not Like Everybody Else.

I bought all the original US lps when you could get the mono cut outs cheap. I'm doing the same with the RCA and Arista cds. If I can find them used, I'd buy
most all of them..
