Here are a few examples:
1. Edwin Starr's followed "War" with "Stop The War Now".
2. Carl Douglas followed "Kung Fu Fighting" with "Dance The Kung Fu".
3. Rick Dees followed "Disco Duck" with "Dis-Gorilla" (yecch!!!)
Needless to say, none of these came even close to the #1 status the original
hits attained.
