And then there's Sting... "It's a big enough umbrella, but it's always me
that ends up getting wet" shows up in three songs (that I know of; haven't
heard any of the New Age Sting of the past few years):

Originally in "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic"
Then "O My God"
Then "Seven Days"

I don't particularly think the songs are intended to be related though.
Seems Sting just like reusing the line.

And David Bowie -- "Ashes to Ashes", the follow-up to "Space Oddity"
