Hi,
Just wanted add my voice to the chorus praising Eytan Mirsky's new album. It certainly will make my top ten list. His vocals have never been better and the songs are as catchy as ever.
Top reasons to buy "Everyone's Having Fun Tonight!"
1. The title has an explanation point in it, kinda like "Help!".
2. The cartoon cover, drawn by Eytan, is funny. He fancies that he's a mouse, a Mirsky Mouse.
3. It contains a version of "Happiness", previously covered by Michael Stipe and Rain Phoenix.
4. Each and every song contains a bridge.
5. The guitar work is very good - Jon Gordon and Larry Saltzman (from Simon and Garfunkel's tour band) play varying styles.
6. There's party sounds on the title track, like the Beach Boys' Party!
7. The humorous lyrics further the Mirsky Persona - the sad sack who never gets the girl.
8. There's a country song on it - hey if Jonathan Richman can go country, why not Eytan?
9. There are a couple of serious love songs for those special moments. And a timely Christmas/Chanukah song to boot.
