I posted the Pitchfork review (without comment), but didn't 
necessarily agree or disagree with it -- I just thought it was a
strong review, and interesting.... I like the album a bit more
than I did last week, personally, but can see why *most* critics
are diggin' it and praising the album -- certainly the fans are 
going to buy a million copies in the first week, showing how 
they feel --  but I also see why the ones who don't dig it so 
much are going out of their way to be, as Jaimie says, "catty 
and lame." (Aren't Pitchfork's reviews often "catty and lame"
for no reason other than to be smarty-pants critics? I still read
the reviews because they sometimes make me laugh out loud).
I think any time the hype on something gets so loud that you
can't hear a dissenting voice, that dissenting voice ends up 
screaming a little louder to be heard....right?
