I'm glad to see so much praise for the new Green Day CD here. It really is great. As I think I mentioned before, my favorite tracks are the ones that are 9+ minutes ("Jesus of Suburbia" and "Homecoming")
And most surprising to me is the fact the whole 9 minute "Jesus of Suburbia" has been getting airplay on both KROQ and Indie 103.1 here in L.A. .. I can't remember the last time a song that long actually got airplay on a radio station.
I've never had a lot of interest in seeing Green Day live. I don't know why. I had some friends from work who went to see them last night in Long Beach and they were surprised that I wasn't going too. I think the last time I saw them in concert was probably 1994, Dookie-era.
The one thing I'm interested in, regarding American Idiot, is the storyline. There's obviously three main characters but I have a hard time tying everything together.
