For anyone in the audience that is thinking about picking up the Beatles box, you might want to check out a Target store near you - I noticed on a shopping trip yesterday that they're stocking a differently packaged, more compact version that one could easily fit in a CD storage unit. Had I been aware of this option, I would have chosen it over the longbox-style that I found on 11/16. The spine of the box has the album covers pictured on it - it's so cute!
How 'bout that 'American Idiot?' Considering how the idea of a concept album has been heading towards the endangered species list in this era of digital downloads, it's reinvigorating to see an important contemporary act like Green Day keep the "concept" alive and, indeed, kicking.
As for the U2, I picked the CD/DVD combo yesterday on my aforementioned shopping trip. Haven't checked out the DVD yet but, on first listen, I thought the album in its entirety was better than their last one. Didn't once think about finding the remote to skip ahead.
Hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
Bill
