Hi Everyone,

Just a reminder that the next IPO Presents showcase will be held Thursday,
November 18 at The Scene in Glendale, and it’s gonna be great! Here's the
lineup:

8:30 The Lost & Found: A two gal and one guy trio who “play sunshine pop
that’s not afraid to be moody and reflective-and the Beatlesque melodies
seeth with the same brash delivery as The Jam. (Punk Planet) That’s rather
high praise, but one listen to their self-titled CD and you’ll know where it
’s coming from. www.thelostandfoundmusic.com

9:15 The Eyeshadows: A sophisticated yet saucy blend of 80s-era girl group
style and melodic songcraft with a thoroughly modern grrl punk pop attitude
is what you’ll hear from these ladies. Totally fun! www.theeyeshadows.com

10:00 PinkSlip: L.A. scenesters will remember PinkSlip’s lead vocalist,
Heatherton, as the force behind Grab Bag. PinkSlip is power pop all the
way, and Heatherton can surely write a catchy tune, as she has for The
Go-Gos and others. They’ve been recording incessantly, so look for some new
music soon. www.pinksliprocks.com

10:45 The O.A.O.T.’s: This LA threesome is one of the main forces behind LA’
s weekly Kiss or Kill shows. As you might expect given that association,
they are a powerful combination of powerpop harmonies and punkpop energy.
Their brand new debut CD, Typical, has been getting lots of praise.

11:30 Long Distance Call: Seamlessly blending classic rock style guitar
riffs with modern rock attitude, they describe their sound as
non-conformist, radio-friendly rock n’ roll. And the industry is starting
to catch on to that sentiment – they’ve recently been played on indie 103.1
and have been featured on the cover of All Access Magazine.

Admission for the show is $5. The Scene is located at 806 East Colorado St.
in Glendale, and is a 21+ club. Their phone is 818 241-7029, and
theirwebsite is www.thescenebar.com.

My girlfriend, Rina, will be hosting the show, since I will be in
Philadelphia doing IPO there. Please come out and show her and the bands
your support!

Pop Rules!!

Take Care,
David
