It's funny how few people reference early U2. I remember seeing some U2
tribute
band in some shit club in Ohio a few years ago and hearing them play only
songs
post-1991. When I got a good buzz going and starting shouting out old U2
songs they looked at me like I was crazy. As far as I've heard, Joshua Tree
is the
last fine record the band ever made. I remember feverishly anticipating
Rattle & Hum
when it came and returning it to the record store the same week I bought it.
I've been pretty disillusioned with this band ever since. I guess I just
miss
the 80's...

P.S. And as far as The Who?
...they should have quit with "The Who By Numbers"
