That's one of the reasons I eventually started writing what I
termed "informational" reviews -- album reviews which provided
information about the songs, or the writers, but not heavy with
my particular take on the album itself. I started considering that
AMG was more of an informational database, rather than a
place people go for reviews the way they might if they were
reading a favorite fanzine, for instance. But I don't write for them
anymore...haven't for a couple of years now...
