I just saw "Ray" and learned a little history behind one of my favorite
Ray Charles tunes, "Mess Around." Didn't know it was written by Ahmet
Ertegun (sp?) for one. Does anyone know where I could find some more of
that "stride piano" music that Mess Around embodies? My dad was a huge fan
of that style and I seem to have inherited his ear.

I like the new Silver Sun quite a bit, it steers more closely to the
debut than to Neo Wave. That said, I happen to think that Neo Wave was the
best disc of the 90's. If you like this band - check out the Second
Saturday EP "Greetings From Mount Rockmore" - great stuff!

The 3rd American Hi Fi disc is incredible. POWER pop nirvana. An
earlier poster compared this to one by Tim Cullen called "Fun Razor". I've
never heard of that one myself, but if it is anywhere near as good as
"Hearts On Parade", I'll snap it up.

Packaging reviews be damned - the Capitol Boxed Set is on my Xmas list.

Mike Hodges
