FYI -- Concert For George Benefit

The Knitting Factory Hollywood will be hosting a
benefit screening of the Concert for George, to be followed
by some amazing and dynamic live performances by artists
influenced by George Harrison. Proceeds will go to benefit
the American Cancer Society.

George Harrison was one of the first celebrities to really get
involved in raising money for charity with his Concert for
Bangladesh in 1971. With George's life having been cut short
by cancer our goal is to honor his memory by raising as much
money and awareness as possible for Cancer Research
heading into the holiday season.

Tickets are $8, and are available in advance at
http://knittingfactory.com.

Artists slated to perform include:

MINIBAR: Minibar was formed in London in the mid-'90s and
relocated to L.A. 3 years ago. Soon thereafter Minibar was
signed and recording its debut album Road Movies with producer
T Bone Burnett. Their new album, Fly Below The Radar,
produced by Dusty Wakeman (Lucinda Williams, Rosie Flores,
Jim Lauderdale) and Rami Jaffee and Greg Richling of The
Wallflowers, follows up with a stellar leap both musically and
lyrically. Minibar has toured with the likes of The Wallflowers,
Old 97's, The Jayhawks and Wilco.

RUSTY ANDERSON: Rusty Anderson is a modern Renaissance
boy, with a truly melodic history and future. He is the lead guitarist
in Paul McCartney's band, most notably on the electrifying 2002
Back In The US tour and CD. Long sought after for his guitar
work, Rusty is also a talented singer/songwriter and his debut
solo release, "Undressing Underwater" (featuring performances
by Stewart Copeland and Sir Paul McCarty) was released to
high acclaim in December 2003.

SETH SWIRSKY: Seth Swirsky is a unique talent. He has written
songs for artists ranging from Al Green to Rufus Wainwright. His
solo work shows off his classic pop songwriting chops. His album
"Instant Pleasure" is available now and features guests such as
Justin Melman-Johnson (Beck, Air) and Andy Sturmer (Jellyfish).
Seth is also renowned as an author, having written 3 best-selling
books about baseball. Seth claims that the song which makes him,
"think the most" is George Harrison's composition "Within You,
Without You".

BEDROOM WALLS: Bedroom Walls have spent the last 2 years
lulling Los Angeles with a lush, voluptuous sound they call
Romanticore. The Troubadour, The Fold, Spaceland, Knitting
Factory, The Echo, House of Blues, the Smell and other local
venues have been host to their paradoxical baroque-minimalism.
The band was recently named one of the "Ten L.A. Bands You
Really Need to Know About" by the L.A. Alternative Press.
Bedroom Walls have performed with artists such as Love
featuring Arthur Lee, IMA Robot, American Music Club and
Daniel Lanois.

THE TEMPLE BHAJAN BAND: The Temple Bhajan Band
is a group of devotional chanters that tours Southern California
and is legendary among Interfaith followers. While Sura sings
to the accompaniment of the harmonium he leads the rest of the
members on instruments such as the esaraja, tamboura, kartals,
flute, violin, and mrdunga drum in a dynamic symphony that is
timeless. The Temple Bhajan Band plays ancient Vedic bhajans,
which include mantras and chants from spiritual India. Many of
the chants are done in a responsive fashion where the audience
can participate and experience the purifying pleasure of the
chanting.

KCRW 89.9FM is providing promotional support for the event,
and will be giving away Concert for George DVD's to listeners
the whole week of Nov 22 - Nov 29. We are also receiving
promotional support from the Breakfast with the Beatles
program on KLSX 97.1fm.

If you can afford the $8, I would appreciate your help and
support to make this event a huge success.
