I'm afraid you have your facts wrong, Mark.
Fuller didn't have a gash in his head, nor did he "swallow" gasoline
(it's physically impossible). I have a copy of his autopsy, in fact, and
there's no evidence of either. But you're right -- it certainly wasn't
suicide. Fuller's body was found, soaked in gasoline -- and cause
of death was asphyxiation on the gas fumes in the locked, parked
car (so, lack of oxygen). It happened on a hot July afternoon, in
a vacant lot near his apt bldg. at 1776 Sycamore, where now
you'll see a small green parkway (Sycamore Park?), on the corner
of Franklin and Sycamore.
