In last Sunday's NY Times, this show was mentioned in
two different places.  The cartoons are 7 minute
pieces with Anglos doing the voices of Ami and Yumi. 
However, they appear between the cartoons in bumpers,
speaking mostly Japanese with a smattering of English.
 The songs will be in Japanese.  The Cartoon Network's
market research indicated that the popularity of
Japanese animation was such that they believe their
core audience will not be bothered by the fact that
the songs aren't in English.  Which is cool, IMO.

BTW -- Stewart, Miles, Matty and the others who chimed
in -- thanks for the Yo La Tengo tips...
