It's interesting to read the debate about Franz Ferdinand and Gang of Four. Some of you may be aware of a band called The Futureheads, who hail from the North East of England.
Their debut album is produced by Andy Gill from GoF and despite the debt their sound owes to Andy and his mates, it really is a superb CD with plenty of originality and some great hooks. Well worth checking out, and I think All Music now have sound clips available.
Whatever the similarity of these new bands to Gang of Four, it has done them some good, as they have recently announced a number of live dates across the UK.
