Listening to the latest TRACKS sampler this morning and what I thought
was a cover of Chicago's Saturday In The Park, turns out to be Jill
Sobule's total rip of said song called Cinnamon Park.
It appears she credits Lamm as songwriter, but for some reason
I find this more of a offense then someone who only sings
what others write.
I thought Greg's comments were dead on. As a fan of so many
singers, Sinatra, Ella, Johnny Hartman etc. as well as rock and
roll, I find more enjoyment in the ability to play or sing a song,
not always to write one.
Just my thoughts,
