Did they mention that he was arrested for severely beating his second wife a
few years ago? That's always good for the resume.
I met Jacks at Tom Lavin's Blue Wave Studio in 2002 while on a book tour
with one of my acts. An amiable enough guy. We discussed potentially
re-issuing all his solo material and The Poppy Family material (he now owns
the masters to everything he ever released on London Records again). He gave
me his phone number, told me to call him and we'd discuss the releases.
Shortly after returning from the trip he was arrested for slapping his wife
around. I never called him back.
