I liked the new "Eric" CD so much, that I decided to fill in the hole in my
David Grahame CD collection by ordering the "DT And The Disagreeables" CD. I
think that I like this one even more than his new "Eric" CD, which I posted
about last week. Once again I received the CD in record time (2 days). While
I said that "Eric" reminded me of a combination of early Harry Nilsson and
1968 Paul McCartney, this CD reminds me more of 1966 John Lennon combined
with the 1977 Rutles! David opens the CD with a great cover of "Hello
Goodbye". Normally an artist saves the cover song for last, but David goes
against the grain and plays it first - just like Paul did in his 2002 USA
tour. The 4th song is called "Sexy Sadist", continuing his Beatles
influences. Probably the best song on the CD (and in my opinion, the best
song on any of his CDs) is "On Your Way Out". This would have been a top 40
hit 45 in the mid-to-late 1960s. The whole CD has tewrrific, melodic song
writing and ethereal vocals. I recommend getting David's "DT And The
Disagreeables" CD.
