in Canada we had Burton Cummings doing the Jim thing for a while
personally, as a kid I dug The Seeds more - they were not as
charismatic or as smart or
as hip or as musically versed as The Doors but they had the template
first and there was
something infinitely more dangerous/sinister about Sky Saxon -
nothing cuddly about him
whatsoever..... kind of like ? and The Mysterians.... yeow! no Andy
Warhol or Nico hanging around any
of these people..... John Waters, maybe :)
