Lifelong Astros fan here - and lifelong NY'er - now just hoping we can
retain Beltran. Disappointing finale, but with half the starters and the
shortstop out of the picture it was an amazing run.
Gotta give props to the Cubs for a classic end-of-season choke job that
helped matters out. Heard the new logo was two hands clasping a throat until
the Yankees outbid them for the image. :)
That's not a new Cubs logo, Bill. The Cubs (ne White Stockings) had the
player-grasping-his-own-windpipe logo way back in '87 ... 1887, that is.
