Hello Everyone,

The next IPO Presents showcase will happen on Saturday, October 13 at Fais
Do Do...and it's gonna be great!

Here's the lineup:

8:30: The American Professionals -Singer/songwriter Chuck Lindo has a fine
knack for crafting some of the catchiest melodies this side of the Rocky
Mountains, which you can hear on their Faking It CD, and their IPO Presents
peformance. This is high praise at International Pop Overthrow, believe me!

9:15: Transcender (accoustic) - Start with ultra-catchy, memorable, from the
heart songs, intricate, layered, even downright psychedelic arrangements,
add lyrics which are at times surreal, but more often topical and political,
and finish it off with whole lot of rock and roll energy, yielding a sonic
power house stew, with songs that are actually about something. The
accoustic version promises to be a bit more mellow, but just as powerful!

10:00: The Shamus Twins - Yeah, you're right, there aren't any real twins in
this band, but their sibling-like harmonies, intelligent lyrics, unique
arrangements and infectuous songcraft will make you forgive their nom de
faux pas. www.shamustwins.com

10:45: Adam Marsland's Chaos Band - Marsland's band Cockeyed Ghost released
a slew of well-respected CDs. He's now joined
forces with some of the most talented musicians on the LA scene (including
Evie Sands!), and they've just returned from a whirlwind tour of the eastern
US. The new CD, called You Don't Know Me, is his best yet!

11:30: Red Planet-This extremely popular and long-standing Bay Area band
(with one member based in Los Angeles) comes to IPO Presents armed with a
new CD, We Know How It Goes, which pulls from such diverse pop, new wave and
rock influences as Redd Kross and The Cars-cum- Weezer to Stone Roses,
Supergrass, The Real Kids and Cheap Trick!! The very modern definition
of new wave! Their IPO show last July gave me goose bumps-yeah, it was that
good! www.redplanetrock.net

The cover for this show is $8. Fais Do Do is located at 5257 West Adams
Blvd. in Los Angeles. Their phone is 323 954-8080
and website is www.faisdodo.com. This show is 18 and over!

My girlfirend, Rina, will be hosting the show since I'm going to be in New
York doing IPO there, so please show her and the bands your support!

Pop Rules!!

Take Care,
David
