On the later, I agree. (how there is a discussion of the two in the same
sentence is quite amusing to me, frankly)

On the former, all I can add is that all NL has to show for its work on the
music front is a big hefty "you owe us "XXXXX" thousands of dollars to US
Bank on my line of credit and concerned wife. *there's* the glamour and
reality of the music biz for you.

Nothing would please me MORE than to see some label, any label, with money
to take on The Shazam and not only do it right, but as the band deserves.

But the music industry has always been this way with divining (sic) its own
sense of musical justice(sic again) and what it feels will be successful.
It is what it is, though ----- no need for cynicism when you pass 30 years
old, imho(I'm 42). You just live with it and let any frustration fuel your
efforts to better things you can control.

For me/NL, you just release and sell(w/ the thousands of CD's on the NL web
site) music you truly care about and hope and pray others do, too. And when
they do, thank God for meting out a bit of grace to do that.

Ta,
Bruce
