See? You already have your songs WRITTEN for you (by someone who isn't

Both Ashlee and Avril wrote or co-wrote most of the material on their
current albums.

...and Butch is a hell of a songwriter either way.

IPods, Ashlee, Shazam, oh Beach Boy!

Man, what a weird weekend. Hahah. I cracked up about that Beach Boys
description from eBay, and now THIS! Urban legends. And the IPod thing
- this world has been and is getting crazier. I like it, and don't at
the same time.

And the Shazam totally deserve more recognition, but I seriously don't
see why people freak out about Cotton Mather - got the CD, and sold
it. I felt it was modern Beatles without Beatlesque hooks? I dunno.

Oh and I heard "Surf's Up" in a movie theater waiting to see the
Forgotten (don't see it.) One of those piped-in tracks.

Speaking of piped-in, if you can't sing songs, DON'T BE A SINGER.
Hahah. This goes out to Ashlee and all the other shmucks. And Butch
Walker writes songs for Avril, and a bunch of others? Oh MAN.

See? You already have your songs WRITTEN for you (by someone who isn't
great at writing his own songs: Butch), the least you can do is SING
them. That's all.

I saw a very good local show this weekend, five bands, and all of them
sang the words. Ha!

I fully expect to get crap for saying some of these things.

-Jake
