I think the point being made isn't that Ashlee Simpson needs to fail....it's
that she should never have been given the opportunity to do so in the first
place. Whereas, a band that was used as an example like The Shazam deserve
to at least be heard and judged on their own merits. Hell, they might even
bugger it all up on stage one day too. But, that opportunity is being denied
them because the flow of talent is being clogged by crap.
