Man, this is so sad. I've had the pleasure of hanging
out with Greg on numerous occasions over the last five
years or so, and he was always so much fun, and such a
total, utter music encyclopedia (like Greg Dwinnell
(RIP), Gary Stewart, Bill Inglot, and so many other
old-school 'tapers' that I've been lucky enough to
befriend over the years, thanks to my old-school
pop-geek girlfriend Nipper, who's known these guys
since, well, forever). Greg was a very youthful,
passionate, open-minded individual, and always a
pleasure to converse with, so easy to talk to, and so
willing to share information. One of the last times I
saw him, he had a gal with him, I think her name was
Maria, who was working on a documentary about his life
and times, so at least there's that project to look
forward to in the future.
I am very, very saddened to learn of his passing (I
ran into him recently and, as usual, he looked great,
like a 29 year-old music freak). Gonna miss you,
bro...
